Greenwich Entertainment has bought “Wild Nights with Emily,’ a dramatic comedy about Emily Dickinson starring Molly Shannon.

The film, which had its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival, was written and directed by Madeleine Olnek. Greenwich will release the film theatrically early next year.

Shannon’s role captures the vivacious, irreverent side of the poet that was covered up for years — most notably Emily’s lifelong romantic relationship with another woman, using Dickinson’s own words.

“Madeleine’s witty, madcap yet poignant and absolutely necessary version of Emily’s life is an Emily we’ve never seen before, but one that has been hiding in plain sight all along,

First Trailer for Alex Pettyfer's Directorial Debut Noir Film 'Back Roads'

"So twisted. Full of secrets." Samuel Goldwyn Films has released the first official trailer for an indie noir thriller titled Back Roads, which first premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year. Back Roads is also the directorial debut of English actor Alex Pettyfer, who also stars in the film as a young man stuck in the Pennsylvania backwoods caring for his three younger sisters after the death of his abusive father and the arrest of his mother. When he strikes up an affair with a local married woman, long-dormant family secrets bubble to the surface in this "back roads" thriller. The film's full cast includes Jennifer Morrison, Nicola Peltz, Chiara Aurelia, Hala Finley, June Carryl, Robert Patrick, with Juliette Lewis. This looks like a gritty, sweaty backwoods noir film for sure - and I'll admit that it doesn't seem so bad. Worth a watch. Here's the first official

Robert Patrick Joins Director Steven Soderbergh's Netflix Film The Laundromat

I’m a big fan of Robert Patrick, who is best know for his roles in Terminator 2 and The X-Files, so it’s great to see him join Steven Soderbergh’s new film project The Laundromat.

Patrick joins an already impressive cast that includes Gary Oldman, Meryl Streep, Antonio Banderas, David Schwimmer and Will Forte.

The story centers around one of the largest money laundering schemes ever. “The Panama Papers refers to the documents that linked money laundering to politicians and powerful higher-ups such as U.S. President Donald Trump. The documents came to light due to a whistleblower with knowledge of the Mossack Fonseca law firm.”

Schwimmer will take on the role of Matthew Quirk, an attorney who speaks on behalf of one of the insurance companies after 20 elderly passengers die on a boating excursion. “The boating company learned its insurance isn’t the large company it thought it was,

‘The X-Files’: Darin Morgan episodes through the years include ‘Clyde Bruckman,’ ‘Jose Chung’ and …

In honor of the occasion, it’s the perfect time to look back at all of the auteur’s episodes through the years. Morgan’s quirky style is one of a kind on the show, and he was even rewarded with an Emmy in 1996 for writing the Season 3 classic “Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose.” Despite his renowned reputation among fans, Morgan has only written six episodes of “The X-Files,” just a drop in the bucket when you consider there’s been more than 200 (and counting). ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ 3D Blu-ray Review

Review by Matthew Turner

Stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong, Robert Patrick, Joe Morton, Earl Boen, Jenette Goldstein, Xander Berkeley | Written by James Cameron, William Wisher Jr. | Directed by James Cameron

Twenty-six years after it blasted onto screens in the summer of 1991, James Cameron’s smash-hit Terminator sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day has been given an immaculate clean-up and 3D conversion treatment for this missed-it-by-a-year anniversary release. The plot, in case you somehow needed reminding, picks up ten years after the events of 1984′s The Terminator, with Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) locked up in an asylum, muttering about an imminent apocalypse, and future resistance leader John Connor (Edward Furlong) still just a snarky ten
